Non vi capita mai di sentire una canzone, magari una delle vostre preferite e pensare "cazzo come avrei voluto io scrivere questo pezzo", sentirlo profondamente vostro e quindi ritrovarsi quasi invidiosi per non averla scritta cantata o suonata voi? Sentirsi quasi derubati anche se sappiamo che questa sensazione è totalmente illogica e impossibile.
Questo viaggio mentale vale ovviamente per tutti, musicisti di ogni genere, sognatori, dj, vale anche per quelli cantano solo sotto la doccia o in macchina con lo stereo a tutto volume.

A me ogni tanto succede, ad esempio ci penso sempre quando ascolto Lazy Eye dei Silversun Pickups, ascolto quella dannata canzone anche dieci volte di fila e penso che avrei potuto scriverla io, che avrei potuto esserci io alla chitarra, o alla batteria, o che avrei potuto scriverlo io il testo, e sarebbe stata la cosa migliore di tutta la mia vita.

Vi capita mai?

mi capita ogni volta che ascolto "Poison" di Alice Cooper. E con altre cose ovviamente. Diciamo che è una sorta di ipnosi, si entra totalmente della testa del compositore e in modo o nell'altro riesce a vivere per immagini cosa pensava quando l'ha scritta

E l'avrei voluta fare io, negli ultimi 12 mesi, per riversare un po' di merda su tutta quella gente che ha parlato a vanvera, che vive e morirà nelle chiacchiere e nelle infamate sempre e solo contro altri e che continua a farlo, indisturbata, nascondendosi. Che ha cercato di rovinarmi la vita, andando a raccontare cose private, romanzandole. Che è andata a toccare i miei affetti privati, cercando di farmi passare per quello che non sono. E poi la farei indirizzata a tutta quella gente a cui sto sui coglioni e che a differenza di come agisco io, non lo dice apertamente, guarda ma non agisce.
